We regularly celebrate our members with a ‘Squaddie of the Week’ award and transcend our community outside of the gym through various socials including hikes, river dips, golf days and our biannual Serotonin Games. A highlight for us was taking nearly 70 of our Squaddies to Battle Cancer 2022, having an incredible day and raising Β£6,000 in the process.

What a guy, what a recruit. @lubbs_adv was committed to getting this champion on board. Fraser started with us in the SGPT program and hit the ground running with full commitment and a stella performance in the Serotonin Winter Games! 

His energy and dance moves are unmatched, especially when Swedish house mafia comes through the speakers! 

He now trains in our large group program and has slotted into the 07:00 & 07:45 sessions like a charm.

Start of a new Strength Block! πŸ’ͺ🏼 

Our Strength days are programmed in 6 week progressive blocks. 

This block for Monday is focusing on increasing total load lifted across 4 x 5 squats (front or back.) This week was about setting the benchmark to work off of for the next 5 weeks and focusing on foot placement and weight distribution in the squats. 

Wide Wednesday’s upper block is high volume, with 3 superset’s and providing options of barbell or DB Bench. 

Both days will follow a similar structure over the next 6 weeks seeing progressions across set reps and variations of the exercises. 

It’s amazing to see everyone get stuck into a strength block. We have a strong emphasis on progression coming in many forms either technique based, weights lifted, reps, enjoyment, etc.!

It is quite unbelievable that’s it’s taken this long for Lulu to get SQOTW but it is well and truly deserved! 

She is an absolutely incredible athlete and it is a thing of beauty to witness her running tekkers! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

An extra shoutout for managing to balance and control  3 kids, being married to Ollie Phillips, work and still getting to the gym πŸ‘πŸΌ
